Fades
The best fades
in Minneapolis.
Low, mid, high, skin, taper. Five barbers who do nothing but fades all day, every day. North Loop, walkable from Target Field and the Blue Line.

A fade is a haircut where the length transitions gradually from short to longer. Done well, the transition is invisible — no line, no shelf, no patchy guard marks. Done badly, your scalp has a hairline at the wrong elevation and stays that way until it grows out.
Five of our barbers specialize in fades. They’ll talk you through the difference between a low fade (line sits above the ears), a mid fade (mid-temple), and a high fade (above the temple), then ask what feels right against your features and your day-to-day. Skin fade means the shortest section is razored to bare scalp. Taper means the same shape but at scissor-length, not skin.
We don’t charge extra for thick hair or finer fades. The price you see on each barber’s page is the price of the cut itself — ask about payment preferences when you sit down, since a few barbers pass a card fee.
